What we collect

When you sign up, we store your email address, selected team, signup date and consent to receive the newsletter or a waitlist update. We also record which page you signed up from and keep your subscription status, such as active or unsubscribed, up to date.

How we use it

We use this information to manage your subscription and send the Game In Five emails you requested. Montreal subscribers request pregame, postgame and launch updates. Waitlist subscribers request a notice when their selected team’s edition is ready.

Where it goes

Your signup goes to Beehiiv, the service that sends our newsletters, and a copy is kept in our own database with our hosting providers. These providers process information to operate the website and newsletter. We do not sell your email address.

Your choices

You can use the unsubscribe link in an email or contact hello@gameinfive.com to leave the list, request a copy of your signup information or ask us to delete it. We keep your signup information while you remain subscribed or on the waitlist, unless you ask for its removal.

Website use

We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use the website, such as which pages, links and campaigns bring visitors to Game In Five and how many of them sign up. It uses cookies and records information like the pages you visit, the link that brought you here, your device and browser type, and your approximate location. We never send your email address to Google Analytics, and its advertising features are turned off. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
